For many wedding events, it's quite common that many brides and their entire bridal entourage wear pearls in specific colors and designs.
For most brides, pearls are their perfect wedding jewelry. Pearls have long been considered the wedding gem of choice as they are believed to bring love, happiness and prosperity to the marriage.
Pearls are elegant, classic, and sophisticated. Whether they are a single-strand necklace or button earrings, in hues of soft white or subtle pink, pearls make the perfect wedding day accessory.
Pearls come in various sizes, designs and color. They can be made into earrings, necklaces or bracelets either alone or in combination with other gemstones, and they are added into tiaras, headpins, or even into the bride’s gown.
Since pearls are often used in celebrating wedding occasions, the most common concern for most brides, bridesmaids and guests are what color would be best to wear on the wedding day.
THE BRIDE
For brides, white, cream and black colored pearls are popular wedding jewelry. White convey innocence and purity just as how the value of marriage appear. Black pearls are also exquisite and they can be found in solid black or with blends of other colors such as blue, purple, green and red.
Choosing white pearls match well with a white wedding gown and more cream colored pearls often perfectly match an ivory wedding gown.
While truly the brides special day, brides often will have a different set of pearls in comparison to the bridesmaids.
THE BRIDAL PARTY
For the bridesmaids, flower girls and important guests, pastel colors of pink, lavender, and peach are often a great choice.
They will have a different set of color from the bride to emphasize their roles within the wedding.
The color of the pearls may also be matched with the motif of the wedding and color of gowns worn by the bridal party.
From exquisite black to rosy pink, to enchanting lavender to innocent and pure white. Pearls come in a variety of colors, all either created by nature or by a manmade process. But, the general rule to keep in mind is to choose a pearl color that will complement the wearers skin tone and match the brides gown.
Light skin may match with white or pink pearls while black or lavender will often go very well with a darker skin complexion.
Pearl jewelry symbolizes love and purity and a correctly chosen set of pearl wedding jewelry should harmonize the entire wedding ensemble and enhance the natural beauty of the persons attending that special day, especially the BRIDE.
