Marriages are an occasion of celebration, a moment for lifetime, a custom which binds you with your soul mate for the rest of your life. The rituals or the customs do not vary according to the rich or poor, it has to be same for everybody, irrespective of the tags of schedule caste, schedule tribes, or high or low caste. One has to take seven vows in front of the sacred fire to get declared as a married couple, and also the bride has to leave her house and move towards a new life at the house of her husband.

Our society from the very beginning of its origin, got divided into different castes, according to the type of work one performs, or the amount of money one has. This division lead to a lot of differences and upper castes started looking down upon the lower caste people, which is just not right, and in a way is the insult of humanity. It is not in the hand of any child to take birth in a rich or poor family, and our society without giving him a chance to grow and develop, marks him with a tag of a rich lad or a poor guy. Every person has got equal rights to practise his religion and rights, as we are part of democracy, thereby, we are ought to follow the principles of integrity, brotherhood, oneness, sovereignty, secularism, and other duties, which binds human beings and does not follow the path of differentiating between them.

In spite of all these duties and rights provided to the citizens of India, a lot of discrimination is seen everywhere, whether its at home, with our maids, our work places or anywhere while travelling or merely talking to somebody. A derogatory approach is seen, when we talk about people who are poor, or belong to lower caste than us. While delivering such speeches, one must think, that we are also lower caste for someone in the world, think if they treat you in such a way, you would feel so bad, one should always try and place himself at that place, before creating worse situations for others.

Coming back to the marriages in India point in schedule castes and schedule tribes, these people must not be deprived of going to temples or other religious places. There are many temples which are said to be the sacred places of rich, people belonging to lower castes are not even allowed to visit there, forget about being allowed to offer prayers to the god in those temples. Some people believe the cultures and customs of the schedule castes and tribes differ, yes they do, that is according to the region or the area to which they belong, but the basic rituals and ceremonies remain the same.

These days, even the people belonging to these castes are very rich, one cannot judge by their way of living, whether they belong to rich class or poor class. Due to their ancestors, have been tagged as one, it does not mean that they will still continue living in the same conditions, everyone has to right to prosper and grow, and so do they have. With the changing times and changing conditions of these people, there marriage ceremonies are also celebrated with great pop and gaiety.

The people belonging to schedule caste or tribes have been observed with a high rate of widow remarriage or divorce marriage, with the prevalence of marrying the brother and sister of your ex- husband or wife, respectively. They do not believe in lingering on an unhappy married life with their partners, if you have differences in your married life, the best solution is to get divorced and choose another partner of your choice. This way they lead a happy and tension- free life, without the burdens of presenting their puzzled life as the most hassle- free married life in front of the society.
