Imagine the evening of your wedding as your guests assemble to celebrate this most special day. In the romantic darkness, myriad magic twinkling lights bring the room or outdoor setting to sparkling life. Each table is lit up in a pool of light and a string of rope lights lines the pathways allowing your guests to find their tables easily. It's and indescribably lovely scene and one that you'll never forget. The fact is that wedding lights are a key component of any wedding celebration.
Your wedding day is the most special event of your life so you need to make sure it's truly memorable. Planning a wedding is a complex task; you've got to organize the location, food, entertainment, and a host of other things. But whatever you do, don't forget the lights. Nothing brings that special occasion to vibrant life like lights and creates a festive atmosphere laced with romance.
When it comes to setting up a wedding party lighting scheme you have a wide range of options.
You can get the lights in a variety of forms - lamp post lights, umbrella lights, wall sconces, string lights and hanging lanterns, for example. Which ones you choose, and how you combine them, is up to you or your party designer. One important consideration is the layout of your location. Each type of area is suitable for a particular type of light. For example, a path leading into the main party area could be illuminated with string lights to provide a pathway into the event. Another option is to use lamppost lights.
When it comes to choosing wedding light displays, you have a variety of styles and colors available including classical and modern. Perennial favorites include hearts, roses, bells and doves. You might even go for a kitschy cupid style. It's your special day and you can be as cloyingly romantic as your want.
You'll need to consider whether each light is for illumination or decoration. For example, fairy lights create a wonderful atmosphere but don't give a strong enough illumination to really light up an area. If people need to navigate or carry out tasks such as eating, then some form of auxiliary lighting is necessary.
For lighting up specific areas, you can use mini wedding lights. These are battery-powered and fit nicely into your floral table centrepieces, say. You just arrange the lights among the flowers and they add a romantic glow and sparkle to the blossoms. Another great spot for them is around the windows.
In fact you can use these battery powered mini wedding lights anywhere you want to accent a scene. They're simple to set up and you can move them around easily to create the exact mood you want.
Yet another option is to use torches or lanterns to give a classic ambience. These can be powered by camping fuel for that nice flickering effect or by batteries or mains power for more safety. And for a gorgeous effect, you can't beat string lights or rope lights. They create a range of ambiences to suit your mood. You can imagine being on a cruise ship, an enchanted forest, or a Hollywood party.
When it comes to choosing bulbs, your options are filament and LED lights. Both types have their plusses and minuses. Filament bulbs are cheaper and have a warm light. However, LEDs are brighter, run much cooler, use less electricity and have a much longer life. These factors tend to make up for their higher price. You can now get warm white LEDs which also emit a softer warmer light. For outdoor events, make sure you select lights with IP44 and IP64 ratings which means they’re safe in all weather conditions.
As for power sources, solar powered lights can be used if connecting to the mains is not convenient. A solar powered light can give hours of effective use if given sufficient exposure to sunlight during the day.
When it comes to using wedding lights, a little effort can go a long way. Such is the magic of lighting that just a simple setup can give an amazing effect. So make your special day into a truly magical experience with wedding lights. You can order everything you need online and setting things up is a breeze. Then you wedding will be lit up with colour, style and romance for the perfect evening.
