If you are not in a tribe, you are missing out on a great opportunity to increase you’re presence on the Internet! What in the world am I talking about? A "tribe" is a social group comprising of persons or groups having a common character, occupation, or interest. Well, the social tribes of today are the same. A social tribe is basically a group of cyber friends that generate a social network to help each other increase how they are seen on the web. Not unlike the wandering tribes of the past, they stick together with common causes and offer support to each other.
The defining qualities that link these like-minded individual tribe members are endless. A wide range of interests or traits like online groups, philosophy, or even experience can link their association. Tribes can be so powerful that it sways public opinion and even moves people into action. The most affluent tribes can take a message, and broadcast it on social mediums in a matter of minutes. The viral process takes hold, when other tribes start syndicating that message! As you can see, the opportunity to plaster your message everywhere is endless.
This is so gigantic! Everyone in online marketing knows traffic is King in our business. Driving traffic to your site helps with not only crucial views of your site but increased ratings on the search engines. Good tribes will take care of both problems. Your association with a tribe will give you other great benefits like, access to numerous people, ideas, and learning new things. For myself I see belonging to a tribe a win/win situation for all tribe members.
So are you sitting there saying how do I find these things? If you are not you should be! You can do the normal searches on the web to join one that is already established. Or, second option is to stand up and become a leader and start your own. To stare use all the social sites and find people that are like-minded and pitch them your idea. Do you think someone is going to pass up on a way to get free traffic to his or her site? I would suggest starting with a small group around 6, and work though the process of syndicating each other’s content. After you have your core group and you are feeling comfortable with your tribe, now it is time to start recruiting more people. Concentrate on building the group larger and larger as you go along.
So you have a tribe, now it is time for online marketing’s most powerful tool, tribe syndication. Syndication means commenting on each other’s blogs posts & videos, retweeting their content, tagging them on FB, joining them in sharing their content. This process is not enormous, but you want to require that everyone follow through with this every single week. Once your tribe continues to grow, this process is virtually impossible, then you might want to break the tribe into smaller groups of say 5 or 6 people to form mini tribes.
Mini tribes may help with trying to syndicate the whole tribe, but it is still each tribe member’s responsibility to complete the process within their mini tribe. Accountability is priority number 1, to his or her group or it won’t work. I would suggest having some guidelines in place for members that do not follow the process and in the end weaken the entire tribe.
This is a powerful tool you can use to get your message out into cyber space and increase your search engine ranking. Take full advantage of it!
Yours in Success
