The Final Choice Is Up To You
- Do your homework
To Choose Cash Gifting, like anything else in life, you must first do your research to determine if this is something you want to take up. It is always prudent to check out the waters before jumping in head first. The simplicity of cash gifting does not require a lot of research, but there are a couple of areas that one should check out thoroughly before getting involved.
- Define cash gifting
Cash gifting is the private or public act of giving to another a declared sum of cash and giving it freely without coercion or consideration. Cash gifting is not a loan or a payment for goods or services and does not need to be repaid. It is called cash gifting because that's exactly what it is... the action of giving a gift of cash. - Determine the legality
There are two supporting areas here; that of the Constitution and the IRS tax code.
- Constitutional right
Yes, Cash gifting is a legal activity. This is the first question most people ask when they start to see the potential of cash gifting. Both American and Canadian citizens have the Constitutional right to gift property, cash and other assets.
- IRS Tax Code
The U.S. gifting rules are found in the IRS Tax Code, Title 26, Sections 2501-2504 and 2511. The law states that one or more individuals can give a gift to another individual of up to $12,000 each per calendar year without any tax liability to either the giver or receiver of the gift, because the tax on the gift has already been paid. These gifts are not included in the gross income of the recipient. The official IRS.gov website goes into great detail regarding tax free cash gifts. You can see what the IRS has to say about these programs by visiting: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p950.pdf - Go ahead, see for yourself and dispel any uncertainties.
- Review the variety of programs and their various differences
This will undoubtedly be the most time consuming part of your research, due in part to the number of active programs now on the internet as well as the number of people involved.
- What is the programs primary focus?
This is question number one. After you understand just what a cash gifting program is, you then need to determine what each program considers their primary focus. If all they talk about is the money, turn around and run, don’t walk as fast as you can in another direction. If your chosen programs’ primary focus is not mentoring and support, you will find it very difficult to have any success with them. As with any new endeavor, if you are left out to sea with out a paddle, the ship may never make it back to shore. Your chosen program and mentor must first and foremost focus on support and be willing to share with you the information you need to make your activity grow and become the success you desire.
- How does it work?
Each program is a little different than that of the other, but essentially they all share one common thread. That is; a one on one invitation to join the inviter and copy what they are doing. Thereby producing the same results. How each inviter is accomplishing their results can sometimes be a very guarded secret. But all programs will include basic information that is passed on down from one to another to be used as a kick off point. From there you can use the basics alone, or improve and add to the tool box to continue to build your own activity.
- What will they do for you?
Between your inviter and the program, you should find all the tools necessary to develop your own activity. Your chosen program should come with the basics; including the information to show you where to go to get the materials and tools you might need, how to get started and what to do. From there, it is up to your inviter to be there for you and support you along your path to success. I can’t stress this most vital point enough. If you don’t get anything else out of this article, get this, it is vital to your success that you choose your inviter wisely. You must be able to trust that your inviter will be there for you whenever you run into a stumbling block. You must be able to relate, communicate and work with your inviter and have the confidence that they will not leave you high and dry once you have enrolled. Do not hesitate to challenge them before you enroll. Ask questions; see how cooperative and helpful they are with you. After all, they are the one you will be working with to develop your activity. Choose wisely.
- Make the commitment
The next step in your decision process is to take a good hard look at yourself. This activity is just like any other endeavor in that if you are to be successful, it will take a commitment. If you would not hire you as an employee, then ask your self, why. What is it that needs to be improved about your work ethics? Maybe it is something that won’t be a problem to developing your cash gifting activity. Then again, if it is, it needs to be addressed prior to getting started to ensure your success.
- Know yourself and you limits
Are you self motivated? Do you like to talk with people? Are you helpful? Do people feel comfortable approaching you for help? There isn’t much to this activity, but it does require the ability to communicate with people. Without it, the support would not be possible.
- Determine what is required to accomplish your desired results.
Can you keep yourself on track to do what is necessary for your desired results? Make sure you are willing and able to commit to making your activity successful. Do you have the time, energy and resources? Are you willing to give freely of your own time and selflessly help others build their activity as well?
- Make a plan and stick to it
If after all your research, you have determined that cash gifting is something you want to become involved with and that you in fact have the commitment to build your activity, then the final step to make is developing a plan of action. With the help of your mentor, you will want to develop a plan of action that will both enable you to be productive in your activity as well as fit your life style. Once you have a plan, the trick is to stick to it. Continued action will produce continued reaction. "Just do it", as the commercial says.
- The final choice is up to you
You have done your homework, you are comfortable in the fact that you understand what cash gifting is and what it is all about. You have gone through the various programs with a fine tooth comb and have found both a program and future mentor you feel you can become successful with. And lastly, you have taken a long look in the mirror and made a firm commitment to yourself that you can and will see this through. OK so there you have it, homework done, programs reviewed selection made and self-evaluation complete. So what’s left? All in all, the final choice is up to you. Just do it.
