What is the key to Ultra Success? Part of it is the Success Formula, which is having a goal or a vision you want to achieve. You then make a plan, a very specific step-by-step plan to get from where you are today to where you want to be tomorrow. Third, you take action. Go out take action so you're getting closer to achieving those goals, those things you set out to do. Lastly, once you've taken action you review it to see if it's appropriate and getting results, and if you're on track or off track. Then, you revise your plan accordingly, and take action again!
So, the Formula for Success is part of the key. But another big chunk of it, is living your passion and serving. The incredible motivator, Zig Ziglar once said, "You can have anything you want if you just help enough other people get what they want." What a great thought. By serving other people, you can have whatever you desire. But you have to take action. You have to go out and do something. You make you dreams come alive so that the other people around you get involved in your dreams too.
You will serve best doing that which you are passionate about. So, one of the keys to Ultra Success is passion. You've got to go out and do something you really love and believe in because that makes a difference. Just because you love and believe in something do you think that's going to make you successful? No, you have to take correct action, in an area where the product or a service you've chosen is needed. At the same time, when you do have passion behind that which you're good at, your chances of success increase significantly.
Not ever is something given for nothing. Never. There's always a trade off. What are you going to do to get value back? Let me give you an example
Back in the late 1940s there was a secretary with two children at home, a single mother who was working hard and having a very tough time because money was tight. She was a pretty good typist but all typists make mistakes.
The problem back then with typing, was that when you made a mistake, you had to stop; scroll the paper up, erase, and scroll back down again. It was very frustrating. So she began to think, "What can I do to make this easier?"
At home she began to try different products such as tempura paint and fibers mixed together. She tried different formulas so that she could take a tiny paint brush and paint on the paper with her mixture, so that matched the paper color and then type over it. It worked well.
She began to use it at work herself. Some of the people at work saw her doing this and how it saved her a lot of time. She began to loan it to her friends to use. She found she was making so much of it that finally she said, "I can't afford this."
Her office friends began to pay her for it. She kept making it at home and pretty soon she was selling it to many businesses. Bette Nesmith was working hard making her mixture and started making more money with the product, than she was by working as a secretary. At that point, she quit her job as a secretary.
Making a long story short, between 1951 when she first began, and 1979, she was selling 25 million bottles per year of White Out Liquid Paper around the country. The Gillette Corporation came in and bought it from her. Success. She served other people so well that it made her wealthy.
That Ultra Success that most people hope for came because she persisted. She thought of something new, she had a passion for it. She took action and she refined it again and again until it was a great product. Ultra Success comes from doing what you love and have passion for.
When you serve people so well, as Zig Ziglar said, "You win and they win." It's a win for everybody. You can have the life you want. You can have the dreams you desire. When you serve other people well, you help them move into a better future. So will you also move into a better future.
Provide wonderful service and you will find that day to day your income, your way of living, gets better and better. You will find that your world works more effectively. Why? Because you served others right into your success.
The Best of Success to You!
