After a break-up, things feel pretty hopeless. Most of us have gone through that and obviously, it was not something we want to experience twice. The good news is that winning ex back is something people do every day. All that you need to do is using the right move at the right time. Below are three crucial things that you must prioritize in order to win your ex back:

Step 1 – Accept That It is Over

Of course, we are talking about winning ex back here, but the very first thing you have to do is to accept that they’re gone. Acknowledge that it’s over and quit clinging to them. It’s ironic that, to get your ex back, you have to first accept that they’re gone, but this is a step that is hard for a lot of people. One of the blunders a lot of people make is clinging to their ex, and this is not going to get them back.

When you have acknowledged that it’s completely over, you’re ready to start working on getting them back. Throughout this time, you need to reflect. Look hard at the causes for the break-up. This is also a great time to work on improving yourself and building the confidence you need to get them back.

Step 2 – Create A Great First Impression Once Again

Now, the first time you meet your ex after the break-up is truly important. The first impression you make decides everything. You should prepare how you’re going to act and what you’re going to say when you see them.

I’m not talking about a huge speech or anything heavy. The idea is that when you see them, you must seem cool, relaxed and alright with everything. You need to be in control over how you act and what you say. Seeing them for the first time is always emotional and you really don't want to lose it.

For instance, when you meet them, behave friendly and approachable. Have simple small talk, like asking them how they’re doing. Make it natural, and when it seems like both of you are through with the small talk, tell them something like "Well, talk to you soon," and leave it at that. The shorter the better, however, don’t cut it unusually short. What you’ve done is show them that you are okay with things; you’re not frustrated or desperate.

Step 3 – Keep The Communication Going

From here on out, you have to be around and keep in touch with your ex. Remain cool and collected, and never make a move that looks needy. You’ve got to stay in communication and see for warning signals that they might want you back. Do they still have feelings for you? Are they interested in fixing the relationship? You’ve got to recognize the signals and act appropriately.

For example, if they’re trying to make you jealous, this is a sure sign that they want you back. Or, if they want to know who you’re hanging out with these days, especially members of the opposite sex, this is a certain sign that they still got feelings for you.

Whenever your ex contacts you, you have to truly check the things they say and the way they act for signals. Each and every communication should be analyzed.

Stay in contact is important, but don't push it. Remember to keep escalating in slow and steady manner. Make your feelings come out at a natural pace that gives your partner sufficient time and space to decide for themselves. Never be pushy, desperate or depressing. Tell them how you’re feeling but never beg.

The most important thing to keep in mind is having positive thinking all the time. Keep away the negative thoughts (I want to get back together because I'm so unhappy and incomplete without him/her). Make it a positive one: I want him/her back because I know that we both can be happy together as a couple.
