It is better if he wants to come back. Let's discuss first things first. Quit obsessing with the question "How can I get back together with my ex boyfriend?" and start focusing on a plan to do just that. You should be concentrating on correcting the issues that caused problems in your relationship and then ultimately led to a breakup. In other words, you need to eliminate the stress that caused the split. Make a mental or written note about problem issues that you need to focus on.

So, back to the question, "How can I get back together with my ex boyfriend?"

Of course something must have gone wrong if your relationship failed. If it was your boyfriend who dumped you then it was most likely because you were not part of the relationship enough or you were around a little too much and made it claustrophobic for him. Usually one of those two things will end a relationship at some point. Begin to look at which one of those actions caused the failure in your relationship. Sometimes relationships become stale if there is no change in the circumstances, leading one person to want to end it.

No matter what the specific cause of the break up was, it really boils down to being something you either did of did not do. In any relationship that ends, it usually is because of the person who was broken up with either behaving in a certain way or not behaving in a certain way. The person who did the breaking up usually feels like they are trapped and there is no other way out. This may be a harsh way to look at yourself and your ex relationship, because you don’t want to believe it, but it is the basic truth. So now what do you do, how do you get your ex boyfriend to want to come back to you?

Obviously you are going to have to change what it was that drove him away and made him feel like his only option was to break up. Find the time to just relax and contemplate the situation you are in. Think about what could have caused the breakup and which of the problems may have been caused by you and which ones were caused by him.

Some of the problems you will conclude were out of your control. Those you will have to quit thinking about because they will always be out of your control. Focus only on the things you figure out that you did wrong, or could have changed. If you notice that the most major problems were something in your control that you could have changed with some modification in your own behavior than there is a good chance that you can get your ex to want you back. Make sure you are truly willing to make changes in your behavior though.

Once you figure out the relationship problems and your solutions to them, you will have your answer to, "How can I get back together with my ex boyfriend?"
