While there are some people who are blessed with the gift of gab, there are also those who are gifted with a talent for putting their thoughts down on paper - creatively. But what if you were only blessed with the former and you have just been asked to be the best man for the wedding of someone very dear to you say your brother, your best friend or a close relative? Surely you would not have the heart to disappoint them by saying "no" just because you haven't figure out yet how you will be able to make a good bestman speech for his wedding. Given that you have a lot of time to prepare for the big bay, you surely need not panic about not being able to give a good bestman speech.

If you do not have any idea at all of how to write a good best man wedding speech, simply log on the internet and look for some best man speech examples you these as your guide into crafting your own best man speech but do not copy it word per word, it certainly would not be special. Now that you have an idea of how a best man toast should sound like, it is time to start drafting your own speech.

At first, try to write everything - practically anything that you can think of and when you are done with that, read it and start fixing it to look more like a wedding speech instead of just a bunch of garbles. Do try to focus on the positive, it is a wedding after all so you need to make things chirpy and sweet. Omit things that would be deemed as inappropriate especially by the older people in the wedding say the bride and groom's parents and their other close relatives. Also, do not dwell so much on the past and just keep your speech light by sharing a nice story that you know about the couple. This way, you will refrain from dwelling on an inside joke and start alienating the other guests. Make sure everyone will be able to relate to your story so that they would actually pay attention to you and what you have to say.

Do remember not to get too comfortable either, make your speech short but sweet you need not keep going on and on and on, that will just bore the guests. Once you have made your point, just wish them well and good luck on being husband and wife and make a toast.

To get rid of any best man toast jitters, try to rehearse your speech a little before the big day, if possible get someone to play as your "audience" to see if you are doing alright and to point out whatever you are doing wrong. You can also time your speech to see if it is not too long. As they say, practice makes perfect there is nothing silly about wanting to give a good speech for your best friend or brother's wedding, this is simply just your way of showing that you are happy to be given the responsibility of being the best man in his wedding and that you sincerely wish him and his wife all the best.
