After a break up it is normal for you wanting to know how to get a girlfriend back. There is probably a good chance that she broke up with you. Why do I say this? Well, women are generally controlled by their emotions and can make some rather irrational decisions, even if it hurts them in the end.

In many cases, just days after the break up, she is willing to get back together. But, the problem is that she will never admit her emotions took the better of her, and that it was foolish to break it off. So if you do not make the move to get your girlfriend back, then you will stay a single man.

What you need to realize in learning how to get a girlfriend back, is that your strategy has two parts to it. First of all, you need be become desirable to her again. Secondly, you need to show her that you are still available and willing to work things out.

To put your winning strategy in place, you first need to identify what caused the break up. Let's take Mark and Claire's story as an example:

When Mark first started dating Claire, he would take her to events that she really enjoyed, such as going to art galleries, watching plays and going to music concerts. But as the relationship evolved, they tended to spend more time doing what Mark enjoyed - going to sports matches. And it was only once Claire broke up with him did Mark realize how long it had been since he had last taken her to a concert or play.

So the point is if you want to win your girlfriend back, you need to make sure she is having fun in the relationship. And to do that, you need to do things together that she loves too.

So this is what Mark did to get his girlfriend back. First off, he decided to give her some space and time apart to digest what had just happened. So the first week after the break up, he left her alone - no calls, no text messages, nothing.  Only a couple of weeks later, when he felt the time was right, did he decide to surprise by inviting her to a concert that he knew she would love. But the catch was that they would go "just as friends".

Of course Claire could not pass off his offer, and was delighted to be able to spend time doing something fun with her man. So off they went to concert. And to round off a great evening, Mark took her to their favorite restaurant where he splashed out on the most expensive bottle of wine. Claire was very impressed by how thoughtful Mark was, and she did not hold back on hinting to get back together.

Now Mark was in the prime position. He knew she wanted him, and he never had beg or plead in figuring out how to get a girlfriend back. What's more is he could take her back, but on his terms. He told her what a great time he had had with her, and that he was willing to see her again. But he made it quite clear, that if the relationship was to work, she needed to be more interested in his sports, while he would be willing to take her to more cultural events.

Because Mark had done such a good job at impressing her, and making sure she had a good time with him, Claire was more than eager to agree to his terms when they got back together.

So what's the moral of the story here? If you want to know how to get a girlfriend back when she broke up with you, then you need to first realize that she was most probably acting out of emotion and never really wanted it to end. Next, you need to take control of the situation by accepting the core problems, work on fixing them, and then laying down new terms for when you get a girlfriend back.
