What you should be doing is focusing on getting over a breakup by accepting it and realizing that there is nothing you could have done to prevent it from happening.

4 - Keep The Faith:

The final step in getting over a break up is to keep your faith. So what if you went through one bad break up? It does not mean you will never be happy again.
