Leah has had a difficult life. Raising eight children in an abusive household can take its toll. Once she learned the truth however, she was able to free herself from the horror and now she hopes to help other women be free from their own lives of terror and pain. Her website contains a wealth of information, resources, and help for other victims of Domestic Abuse. She has recently upgraded the content and made it even easier for women to become empowered and get the help they need.

To help win the fight of abuse against women, Leah’s first goal is education and empowerment. To understand and recognize abuse requires that the victim first recognize when they are being abused. Many forms of abuse against women are covert and deceiving. The Abuse Against Women website will help those victims identify the type of abuse so they can confront it and be free from it.

Beyond the information needed for identification, the abuse against women website contains links to books and many other resources where abused women can learn to empower themselves, confront their abuser and ultimately achieve freedom from the abuse. Leah hopes that the website will "serve as a learning tool for women to realize their true worth and hopefully empower them to know that no one has the right to abuse them." Without this knowledge and resources for help, many women can be caught in the controlling grasp of their abuser and see no clear way to a happier, safer and healthier life.

The site is not just for the victim. While the abuse against women website is an offer of real help for the victim, the website is intended to provide the information for others who might be in a position to help stop abuse against women, even though they are not the direct victim. The site can offer help to:

  1. A woman looking for answers for the abuse she is experiencing in her life.

  2. Anyone looking to see if what they are experiencing is abuse.

  3. Parents who wish to understand if their teenage or adult daughter is in an abusive relationship.

  4. Mothers wanting to know why their child has turned against them and towards the abusing parent.

  5. Mothers preparing for child custody court battle.

The site also contains an abuse against women checklist so that women have a way of recognizing abusive behavior. For anyone that might suspect they are a victim of abuse or knows someone who might be, they should visit the Abuse Against Women website and get real information to help them learn, empower, confront and be free of their abuser.
