  • You should change your sanitary napkin or pad after every two to three hours in order to reduce leaks and odors. Frequent changing of the napkin or pad will result in the woman feeling more fresh and comfortable. Make sure that you keep an ample stock of tampons or pads on hand so that you do not face the problems of shortage when your period arrive.

  • You should bathe or shower daily. Cold water will stop your period temporarily whereas as warm water will heat the arteries and the veins to increase the flow. You must remember that there are hormonal fluctuations during your period and you may tend to perspire more. Daily baths and showers will help you feel more comfortable and fresh.
