There are a lot of things that are taught to us when we are growing up. Our main influences tend to be parents or other relatives, teachers, and friends. As we get into the workforce, we can add co-workers to the mix of people who provide us with lessons. Most people tend to be excellent students of life, learning exactly what they are shown. Unfortunately, what we are taught often gets us results that are not desirable to us. It is sad to learn that the people who loved us the most while wanting the best for us led us down the wrong path.

Before going haywire on those who gave us the lessons, it is important to note that those people did the best they could. They honestly thought that they were acting with your best interest at heart. However, it might be helpful to realize that these same people are teaching you the rules of life that they live by. A quick analysis of their lives often will show that they are not getting the results that they desire either. Obviously it is necessary for us to gain a different perspective.

It is amazing how people will defend the belief system that they have. Ask someone to change what they believe and you might as well shoot them. The human ego tells them that changing will be to admit that they are wrong. Or worse, the ones that they love dearly are mistaken. This is something that most cannot do. They would rather plug along through life repeating the same patterns that were duplicated for generations. This is why most people tend to lead unfulfilled lives.

The world is full of lies. Only a small percentage take the time necessary to question what ideas they are carrying in their heads and how they got there. This process opens the door to releasing the patterns that invariably hold you back. If you desire creating the life that you truly desire, it will require the letting go of all those ideas that keep you from manifesting what is the ultimate destination for you.

Successful people operate under an entirely different set of ideals when compared to people who struggle. The wealthy have learned a method that works which is not commonly taught to the general public. While not a secret, these lessons are missed by the middle and lower economic classes. For someone to move into the state of awareness, he or she must first be willing to admit that there is more to know. Having an open mind yields incredible dividends in the pursuit of success regardless of how one defines it.

A prime example of the lie that many live their lives under is the 'get good grades in school to get a good job which will provide you with all the happiness and success you desire'. While perhaps true in the past, recent history has shown the fallacy of this belief. Corporate layoffs seem to appear in mass number almost weekly. 'Lifetime' employment is a thing of the past. The average worker changes jobs every few years. Throughout this process, people are being asked to work longer hours for less pay. Technology has done nothing but complicate our lives even more. The number of people who are getting ahead following this believe is diminishing with each passing year.

Take a look at the beliefs that you have concerning money, success, debt, and motivation. Are there some ideas that are presently holding you back. If wealth is a goal of yours, why haven't you achieved it? What is it that you are missing? Do you think that it is too hard? Is it really any harder to be wealthy than to work for someone else for 40 years? (Hint: a belief to adopt). Do you believe that you have what it takes to be successful? Is the way that you view yourself keeping you from moving forward? What role does fear play in your life? Is the idea that you will fail preventing you from acting? What if you believed that failure was not possible? How would that change you life? Keep asking yourself these types of questions until you uncover what ideas are hindering your path to your dream life.
