What is the 10,000 hour rule- Coaching and mentoring training?

How do I become Great? Many people are asking this question. I'm a coach and this is why all people come to me. They simply want to be great. Whether they are struggling, doing average or doing well, all people want to be great. We are all driven by our potential greatness. Such is Life! So whether you are looking for certified life coaching programs or just to become great, what I am about to share is for you.

There are many people in the world that believe greatness is only for a select few. That for some reason or another greatness has been bestowed upon the very fortunate and not the average person. The truth is that we are all average until we make a fundamental decision to be great. And not juts great, EXTRAORDINARY!! There is a great book recently written by Malcolm Gladwell called "Outliers." In this book Malcolm talks about the 10,000 hour rule. What is the 10,000 hour rule, it sounds like a lot of work? The ten thousand hour rule states that there are nor geniuses and there are no prodigies. The people who are extraordinary put in the 10,000 hours it takes to become a master at anything. The rule states: if you work at your craft for 3-4 hours per day for 10 years, you will become a Master at your craft because you put in 10,000 hours of work and that's how long it takes to master anything. Now, combine your 10,000 hours with the guidance of coaching and mentoring training. As I began to understand this rule, I suddenly realized that the reason people don't tap into their greatness is because very few people have ever focused on something for such an extended period of time. But the GREATS, such as Bill Gates or The Beatles, undoubtedly put in their 10,000 hours. Did you know that Bill Gates started in a computer lab at the age of 6. It's no wonder that 10 years later he dropped out of Harvard to build his billion dollar empire. Did you know that The Beatles released their Platinum album after spending 2 1/2 years in Hamburg, Germany? Do you know what they were doing in Hamburg, Germany 7 days a week or 7-8 hours per night? They were playing music at the strip joints. (that's right, the strip joints). They put in their 10,000 and they went platinum. I'm sure the Beattles had some pretty awesome coaching and mentoring training of their own.

What is it that you want to be great at? What do you Love? What could you do all day long and at the end of the day you have more energy than you had when you started your day? It's like that famous line from the movie, "Ferris Beullers Day Off." "Life moves by pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you may miss it." I believe that you become great by, just going for it. In fact, that should be your mantra for the day, "Just Go For It." Step into it!!! Think of all those things that you are putting off and if you just go for it, and step into action, all of life will unfold for you. The greats didn't become great by setting their minds on 10,000 hours of work. They found something they loved and they followed their heart and their intuition. Sooner or later, 10,000 hours is going to pass you by, and you might as well spend it doing something you absolutely love. In our programs, whether in be our certified life coaching programs, or something else, we set the expectations, that mastering anything takes an unbelievable amount of focus and time. It's all worth it. I believe everybody needs some type of coaching and mentoring training as part of their 10,000 hour plan.
