FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 11 September 2010. Denver, CO: "The 2010 Business Women Symposium: Bold and Beautiful, Women Impacting Our World," released by Butterfly Events and Keys of the Kingdom International, Jenna E. Goss, Event Director.
Denver, CO/USA - 11 September 2010. Butterfly Events, a Denver based event promotions group, and Keys of the Kingdom International, announced today that plans are in full swing for the 2010 Business Womens' Symposium, being hosted by Arvada Covenant Church located at 5555 Ward Road, in Arvada, Colorado. Dates for the event are Friday and Saturday, October 15th and 16th, 2010. The event will be preceded by a pre-conference workshop presented by Logos Bible Software. The event itself runs from late Friday afternoon, through Saturday evening.
The genesis behind the creation of the BWS was a growing realization on the part of business people that while there are great deal of resources out there for business people in general, and for Christian women in general, there was nothing specifically designed for or tailored to the Christian Business Woman. Keys of the Kingdom International and Butterfly Events recognized that there is a great demand to fill this gap in sources of information both practical and inspirational for these women.
While there are certainly womens' organizations and business womens' organizations, there has been little effort to draw together women of multiple Christian denominations to promote understanding of how they can express their distinct gifts in a manner that is empowering rather than eviscerating of the uniqueness of woman.
This year's Symposium will be covering a wide range of powerful topics including social media & technology, empowerment, intimacy, work-life balance, becoming a center of influence in the marketplace, fueling passion, unleashing creativity, and a variety of practical issues relating to being a professional woman today.
Any woman who is now, or would like to enter, or needs to return to, the workforce. This event is NOT just for women who own businesses! Whether you are a professional, a student, a brand new graduate, or a mom who is in the workforce - or returning to it - this event will provide highly valuable, empowering, and motivating information along with practical tools you can implement that week!
This year's list of persuasive, powerful speakers includes Diane Cunningham, Founder & President of the National Association of Christian Women Entrepreneurs (NACWE); Lori Ruff, Author and Social Media & Strategies expert; Mike O'Neil, Author and Social Media & Strategies expert & 26th most connected on LinkedIn; Linda Sloan, Author & conference speaker; Amy Everett, Colorado Coordinator for National Day of Prayer; Christine Geerts, MOPS executive; Christy Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Colorado Tea Party; Mellani Day, Dean - Business and Technology Division for Colorado Christian University (CCU); Jennie McQuade, Author of Flight 219; Jennie Poppenger, Melissa Montoya, Barbara Nelson, Suzanne Schmieding, Tori Fullmer, Jennifer Mason, and Larry & Joanie Wickes. Inspirational music is being provided by deaf vocalist Mandy Harvey, and as well, singer/songwriter Bob Padgett. Entertainment is being provided by Dan McGowan, comedian, musical parodist and former contestant on Last Comic Standing.
