There is no doubt that self-esteem lies within the foundation of success. In business these days there is more competition than ever before and basically no such thing as job security. This means that there is more pressure placed upon you to build your self-esteem to enable you to rise to the top and make everyone else realizes your abilities. You have to stand up to get noticed; you cannot just sit back and allow your work to speak for itself.

This means that you have to learn to like being in the spotlight. Some people love attention and are at their happiest when others have their attention focused firmly upon them. The majority of people though do not naturally crave so much of the limelight; they are happy when they are in the second or third row as opposed to sitting at the front or standing on the stage.

If you have a tendency to hover in the shadows this can work against you in your job. The career arena is a noisy and busy place to be. You have to mentally shout out and wear bright colors just to get noticed. You have to learn to emit an aura of competence and success, as well as showing that you are able and capable at your job.

So how do you go about donning this mantle of super-confidence and success? There are some obvious things which everyone can do quite easily. Firstly, although there is a trend towards "casual Friday" dressing, you can make sure that you look "successfully casual" as opposed to just plain rumpled. You are in fact selling "you" to your boss, customers and colleagues. Ask yourself the question "would you buy you?" First impressions do count - a lot - and so how you look is very important.

It's not just the clothes you wear that matter, it is how you wear them. Beneath your clothes lies your body, and your limbs and torso speak their own language. Ensure that your body language speaks of success and confidence. Take time to study the ways in which the most confident and successful people move and make gestures and learn how to project a similar image in this way. You don't have to do exactly what they do; simply be guided by certain principles - make eye contact, have a ready smile, stand tall, take a confident stride.

It is worth also paying attention to how you sound. Everyone can work upon speaking clearly and using a tone of voice which is balanced and comfortable. Everyone can learn to speak more slowly or more quickly, softer or louder. Notice inflections and tonality in other people's voices and practice with how your own voice sounds. Again, as you hear yourself speak ask yourself the question "would you buy you?"

These are some simple things which you can work on to provide an outward image of confidence and success. No matter how you feel inside, your boss, clients and colleagues will see what you are showing them. It's up to you to make sure that what you are showing is what you want them to see. There is the added bonus that as you appear to be more confident, you will also begin to feel more confident too.

You can also work on your own inner confidence, your internal beliefs about yourself and your expectations in life. Hypnosis mp3s are a really good source of help as they allow you to access your deeper thought processes. Hypnosis in effect makes it far easier and quicker to build your confidence and self-esteem.
