Try to avoid foods that are spicy, acidic, or fried. These can be the main causes for heartburn during pregnancy. Those types of foods can also worsen your heartburn.
Don't drink alcohol while pregnant. Drinking any alcohol at all during pregnancy increases the risk of several birth defects and puts the baby at risk for fetal alcohol syndrome, which can cause mental retardation, loss of motor skills, and other problems. Consider drinking milk or tea instead if you are used to having a drink with dinner.
Make sure you know all of the signs of premature labor. You should seek as much information as possible. This keeps you adequately prepared and ensures you know when it is time to call the doctor should early labor occur.

You should also avoid teeth whitening treatments and not have your fillings removed. The healthiness of your baby can be helped along by your dentist as well.
