The Lawn Chair Millionaire money making program has attracted considerable publicity since its launch in December 2007.Opinion has been divided over the merits of the scheme.
Some have called it a scam others are enthusiastic about its money making abilities.
David Natiuk "Two Inches From Scam" does an excellent expose` of the program. You can look it up in a search engine by title.
Basically he attacks LCM as being a shallow money making vehicle with no substance.
Indeed he details the extra money you have to pay out for each of the programs within the LCM "Vault"
My "earnings" for the first 3 months were roughly the same as Mr Natiuks just under $30 per month.
I was really annoyed with LCM at this point as it states in the emails they send you that your share of the money pool will go up. It didn't, it was quite fixed. In fact you can easily delude yourself that your next pool share would be something substantial but that does NOT happen.
I sent a support ticket complaining about this but they defended themselves rater sheepishly I thought.
I purchased the Smart Cash System which is basically a betting software program designed to win you money at online soccer bookmakers.
It is possible to make some cash with this system but it is slow going and you need a lot of time and patience. Its actually quite fun if you enjoy English Premier League Football but I don't think I could make a living out of it.Also most of the bookmakers are off limits to USA residents.
As for the other Vault programs, I haven't ventured that far nor will I.
I took a trial look at the Forex share trading program Freedom Rocks, and it seemed complex to me .You had to set up various accounts after paying a $100 to join.
So who is doing well with LCM?
Well the number one recruiter is Rachel Long with around 2000members to her name.
Next comes self publicist Mike "You may have heard of me" G(Glaspie) who is trailing in Mrs Longs bridal tresses with about 1000 sign ups.
Of course these people are what is known in the industry as "Heavy Hitters".
Is it easy to get sign ups to LCM?
In my experience NO.
I have tried various campaigns and have so far managed a half dozen paid members mainly through advertising on the Yuwie social networking site.
However there are other methods of advertising. Many people are getting good traffic to their site using
Spin Success a SEO company that really will give your affiliate site top rankings on Google,Yahoo etc.
On the positive side those few sign ups I have are giving me a residual monthly income and I have made a few hundred dollars so far which is good.
So although I have had reservations about
Lawn Chair Millionaire,I am making money with it, and a residual income at that.
It's a sort of love hate relationship really, a bit like the words from the Eagles song "Hotel California" ---
"You can check out any time you like..but you can never leave"
Happy Hunting
