How much does it cost to place an advert?

Placing a basic classified ad is free. Your advert will remain live for 3 weeks, and will cost you nothing.

If you would like your advert to really stand out we have a number of features you can choose from including our 'look at me banners' and our multiple images option. We also offer our trade users the ability to show their company logos and website links.

How can I place a free advert?

If you are an existing adflyer member you can simply log in and start uploading free ads from your adflyer account. If you have not used adflyer before you will be asked to fill out your advert details and choose which type of advert you require; here you'll also be asked for some contact details. That’s it!

Will my upgraded advert get more responses?

Don't miss the opportunity to enhance your advert. It has been proven that classified adverts carrying more images and a feature banner receive 80% more responses. There are two upgrades to choose from and both offer great value and the possibility of increasing your advert's response and profile.

Will my advert only appear online?

Adverts placed on adflyer will only appear online. We do not publish adverts from this site in any magazines or newspapers. However we may publish your adverts on one of our partner's sites, gaining your advert more exposure to potential buyers.

How many adverts can I list on adflyer?

You may place as many classified adverts for different items as you wish. You should not list the same item multiple times as you risk having all duplicate free ads removed.

How long will my advert remain on adflyer?

All free adverts remain live for 3 weeks. If you have decided to upgrade your advert the ad will remain on adflyer until you have sold it.

I don’t know what to write in my Ad, can you help?

There are basic guidelines you should try to follow when writing your free classified ads...

Keep the title short and descriptive. Just explain what it is you’re advertising so that potential buyers can easily spot it while scanning a page full of other classified ads. A descriptive headline like "Italian Holiday Home" combined with a good price, will get attention from potential buyers.

You can afford to be a bit more expansive in your description. Here you need to say exactly what it is you’re advertising, as if you were describing your item to a friend. Include as many details as possible about the item. Think about what kind of things you’d like to read about if you were the buyer. Don’t write too much or ramble on needlessly, but at the same time don't make the advert to vague.

Why am I having trouble uploading my image?

Your images need to be no larger than 1MB file size, please only use JPEG or GIF format.

It's easy to resize images and lots of free software can be found to help you. adflyer recommends using a download programme called Picasa. Picasa is free software download from Google that helps you Locate and organise all the photos on your computer and edit, resize and add effects to your photos with a few simple clicks. it’s fast, easy and free.

How can I add or change pictures on my advert?

You are allowed to add one picture with any free ad placed on adflyer. If you have decided to upgrade, you can choose to add up to five photos with your advert. All photos can be added, removed or changed from your adflyer account. Next to the advert in question click on "edit advert" and follow the instructions on the page. You must login to do this.

How do I change the price or description of my advert?

You can change the price or description of your advert from your adflyer account. Next to the advert in question click on "edit advert" and follow the instructions on the page. You must login to do this

I’ve sold my item, what now?

Once you have sold your item simply log in to your adflyer account, find the sold item in "your adverts" and click the button to "mark as sold". All sold adverts will be removed by adflyer after a short period.

How can I update my personal details?

You can update any of your personal details, including your email address and phone number, from the My Details page (found in your adflyer account). Any changes made here take immediate effect but email address changes will require confirmation from the original email address. You must login to do this.

I’ve forgotten my username/password, what should I do?

If you've forgotten your username or password we can send them to you via email. Enter the email address you used when you signed up into the username/password reminder page. The details will be sent to this address. If you no longer have access to the email address you signed up with, please create a new adflyer account with your current email address.

Why hasn't my username/password reminder arrived?

If you've asked to be reminded of your username/password but the email hasn't arrived, it's likely that the email may have been stopped by your mail filter. As the reminder email is automatically generated, some email software may mistake it for junk mail and move it to your Junk folder. If you have a Junk folder, check for the username/password reminder there. If you are still experiencing problems please contact us.

How do potential buyers contact me?

There are two ways that buyers can contact you. The first is by email. Adflyer does not give out your email address, but a buyer can use the site to send an email to you. If you have chosen to provide your phone number the second way a buyer can contact you is by telephone. You can give the potential buyer the option to only contact you via email or via telephone or both.

I have heard that scammers are around?

Adflyer have dedicated members of the team whose role is to process all adverts and emails going through the site. We are confident that you will never experience scammers while using adflyer. For information on potential scams and how to avoid them, please read our scam info page.
