Are paid online surveys scams or are they a legitimate way to make some money from home? The answer is that they are legitimate but with lots of scams to avoid.
There are several ways to get scammed with online paid surveys but it is not just the out and out scams you have to beware of, some of the legitimate sites that contain lists of paid surveys companies are also hiding a big risk.
Unfortunately the legitimate sites that pose a risk do so for one reason and that is that they will sell on your personal information. This may not sound like much of an issue to some but let me explain a little more.
The companies that sell personal details to third parties have very little concern about who that information is sold on to, as long as they get the fee they are charging they are happy to pass them on - no checks no questions. This means you could end up been accused of fraud because your name and details have been attached to spam emails or the worst case scenario is that you could end up a victim of complete identity fraud.
Personal information is big business nowadays because there are so many unscrupulous people out there willing to pay for it to use for illegal activities. Sadly for those thinking they can obtain a list for free that will lead to them making good money this is how those free sites make there money so would strongly suggest you always avoid using a free list.
Of course some of the membership sites do the same so they too should be avoided at all cost. Of all the other paid access list available not all will be legitimate but looking for a legitimate site can be made easier if you look for a money back guarantee, a customer support service (check it out if you can), a privacy policy, and take the time to see how long the company has registered its domain name for.
Are paid online surveys scams? certainly not but as with anything else good in life there are those who try to get in on the act and con people out of there money. As long as you avoid these scams online paid surveys are a great way to work from home.
