Getting a job these days have become an almost impossible task. Moreover, getting a job now does not guarantee that you may be satisfied with the employment.

Because of the current high unemployment situation in the country, a lot of people are finding it even difficult to get a job let alone keep themselves in it.

But in these trying times, you can still find work. If you cannot find one in your locality, then search elsewhere. Though there may be very few high paying white collar jobs that may suits you, you can still search for various low profile but readily available jobs around your locality. Some of these kinds of jobs may be for Teachers, Drivers, Marketers, Sales Persons e.t.c. Though, they are not near the class of the glorified jobs category, they may be worthwhile having while you continue your dream job search.

This is necessary so you don’t have to be burdened by being broke caused by your unemployment. There are still some other things you can do while still unemployed such as going into small/medium scale business (if you have the required capital) or entrepreneurship.

In your job search, you would need to write a comprehensive resume (CV) that can be well perused through. You must ensure that your resume is well readable and friendly for potential employers and recruiters. When writing a resume it is very important to choose a basic font and format, and also include all the information like your full name, address, home or cell phone numbers and e-mail address. This will increase your chances of being selected for an interview. It may take some time but it’s all worth the effort. If you include a career objective in your resume, then you must ensure you tailor your objective to match whatever job you’re applying for.

Also, you would also need to write a simple and decent application before applying for any job as that is the formal evidence of your interest for any job in a company. Your application letter is the first document most employers and recruiters read through before going through your resume and other credentials. Hence you must ensure your application letter meets up to standard when writing it. You may give the letter to someone else you trust to proofread it for correction before submitting to the employer.
