A lot of people suffer from anxiety. There are several reasons that trigger it, phobias, biological factors, social factors or anything that triggers discomfort. Anxiety happens when chemical imbalance happens in the brain. Way back then, anxiety used to be classified as a mental disorder but further studies showed that it is more caused by hormonal and chemical changes in the body.

Presently, there is no means to cure panic anxiety and panic attacks. The medications for this problem claim to cure anxiety and panic attacks but it comes with negative side effects that sometimes dealing with it the natural way is even better than taking those medications. The medications have been observed to increase the tendency for suicides, cause sexual inability for both men and women, and have been known to cause patients feel apathetic.

There are natural ways to get rid of anxiety and panic attacks. As a sufferer of this dreadful problem, I was able to find means of dealing with it without resorting to medications. The last few years has significant improvement and gave me my life back. Here are the things that I’d like to share:

•When anxiety creeps in, there is this dreadful feeling of wanting to escape and run. So the best way to combat is to run or if it is not possible for you to run somewhere else then you may run in place. Running keeps your mind off the anxiety and is an effective treatment for anxiety attacks. Furthermore, physical activity causes our brain to release endorphins which reduces pain and anxiety.

•Make sure to keep your hands busy. This will also keep your mind off during anxiety attacks. It will also keep you from hurting yourself if you have such tendencies during anxiety attacks.

•Hyperventilation is common during anxiety attacks. So do some breathing exercises. It is also useful to have a paper bag nearby or have some in your bag in case there is a need for you to use it. You can also hold your breath for 10 seconds until you feel that your breathing is slowly going back to its normal rate.

•If you would like to take something for your anxiety attacks, go for the all-natural. There are supplements in the market that helps ease anxiety attacks and depression. These herbs helps balances the chemicals in the brain and since it’s organic, you don’t have to worry about negative side effects.

•Find out what’s causing your anxiety attacks. Check for patterns during the actual attacks. It is best if you have a notebook available anytime that will allow you to document each attack. This is a good way to track and check for patterns. Consider relaxation and some unwinding. Meditation is a good mental exercise. Deal with it one step at a time. If you feel you the need for some therapy then you can go for one but try to avoid the medications. I believe that it is possible to combat anxiety without the use of any medication. I, myself is a living testament to it.
